Is your government open or closed?

The bad news is all around us including what we're not supposed to even talk about -- Gaza.

Sorry, but we believe in free speech for everyone, barring the illegal.

People are complex animals. We crave stability, while there is growing recognition that our country needs dramatic change.

What is the most important change as we attempt to gently round up 8 million Texas voters who likely do not party salute?

It's called Open Government. It rests on the principles of government transparency.

The Texas Legislative Session is underway. The Senate is moving, but the Texas House is waiting for the Speaker to appoint committees.

You good folks who follow LIV. We need you to help follow bills in this session.

Tonight at 7 pm we will be visiting on Zoom to continue planning for the session and outreach to independent voters.

You can sign up here at our Events page for our meetings and forums. Please save the date for a forum on Incentives and Bastrop Development on February 24, 7 pm. Details coming soon!

Is your government open or closed?

If you are following the battles in Bastrop over governance and development, or live in the city, make sure you read today's post, Don't miss the link to the post by Bastropians for Open Government. We encourage you to do something similar in your community and we're happy to help: Have you ever been asked to run for political office?
